A second chance at love – Wedding at Sirromet Wines

  • Posted By cheryl
  • on March 18,2023

There’s nothing quite love that first love – that intense feeling of tummy butterflies, delicious deliria, and heart stopping kissing. But there’s something even more special about finding love a second time around – a sense of ease, comfort, assurance, and well being.
Jennifer and Bryan met when their children had become independent, and they gradually formed a relationship which culminated some seventeen years later when they married at Sirromet Wines.

I think Jennifer’s vows summed up their story, ” Bryan, you found me in the Autumn of my life and reaffirmed my capacity to love. In your arms, my spirit has been nurtured and my heart restored. And so I promise to spend the Autumn and the Winter of my life caring for you and loving you.” These vows were just perfect for a second chance at love.

Jennifer and Bryan always aim to see the sunny side of life, and Jennifer appreciates Bryan’s sense of humour which never fails to make her laugh. In his vows, Bryan included the line, ” I promise to listen to you when I’m reversing the caravan,” which had not just Jennifer, but all the guests, giggling a little.

Their wedding ceremony at Sirromet Wines was attended my just their immediate families, which numbered a few with their children and their partners, and grandchildren of varying ages. The grandchildren were involved in the ceremony by presenting the wedding rings and blowing bubbles at the end of the ceremony.

Celebrant Cheryl Landsberry, local to Sirromet Wines, created a relaxed and intimate ceremony for the couple, and took care of all the legal essentials.

Jennifer wore a classic navy dress from Anthea Crawford, and Bryan wore a navy suit. If you’re looking for an outfit for a “mature bride” who doesn’t want to wear a traditional white wedding dress, Anthea Crawford has a huge selection. https://www.antheacrawford.com.au/collections/event-dresses

Photographer, Andy, from A Thousand Miles Photography captured photos of the luminous faces, and this became an especially memorable event which stands out in his years of photography. After a celebration dinner at Sirromet Wines, the families stayed in the glamping accommodation at Sirromet – Sanctuary. https://sanctuarybysirromet.com/

Vintage Wedding at The Courthouse Restaurant Cleveland

The historic Courthouse Restaurant overlooking the bay at Cleveland provided the perfect backdrop for this vintage styled wedding. The bride wore a retro slinky white silky dress, with white gloves. Her hair was styled in victory rolls and her lipstick was a scarlet red. The groom and groomsen wore suits and waistcoats.

Live music set a classy tone for the post ceremony champagne on the lawn and then the band played after dinner as the dance floor opened.

The couple arrived in a vintage London cab.

Wedding at Redland Bay Golf Club

High school sweethearts Shania and Hayden were looking for a relaxed and stress free local wedding venue and chose Redland Bay Golf Club as their ideal location.

With a handy location, plenty of parking and the ability to have the ceremony and reception at the same location, Redland Bay Golf Club ticked all their boxes. The beautifully maintained lawns and gardens provided the perfect backdrop for their wedding. The couple chose the Gazebo location at Redland Bay Golf Club, one of three ceremony areas to choose from.

With rain showers predicted, guests arrived prepared with clear umbrellas. These also provided some cute photo opportunitues. Chelsea, the bubbly events coordinator at Redland Bay Golf Club, organised golf carts for the bridal part to access scenic photo locations around the golf course and adjoining Redland Bay.

Shania was stunning in a long ivory lace gown, and Hayden was dapper in dark trousers with an oatmeal coloured jacket. The bridesmaids wore a rustic burnt orange shift dress, and the groomsmen picked up the burnt orange colour in their vibrant ties.

Redlands Coast Wedding

Nicole and Trent decided on an elegant and romantic wedding, with their ceremony at Raby Bay Foreshore, and celebrations afterwards at Fiction Bar at Cleveland. Nicole chose blush and silver for the colour palette. They asked the team at Elope Brisbane to collate all their wedding professionals to ensure a stress free preparation to their dream wedding.

Stunning Nicole was pampered by hair and makeup artist, Suzie, at An Eye for Style Wedding Hair and Makeup at Cleveland. Her bouquet was from Little Miss Flower Shoppe at Wynnum. Nicole was transported to the ceremony location in a stylish, silver Rolls Royce from Our Weddings Cars. Trent and the kids took the fun option of arriving by Kombi.

The classic arbour and Americana chairs at the ceremony location by Raby Bay were styled by Mel from Miss Weddings. The simple ceremony was led by local celebrant, Cheryl Landsberry, who guided the family as they all added different colours of sand to a vase in a family sand ceremony. Photographer, Romana Saeheng, took the opportunity to capture not only gorgeous photos of the couple, but also their extended family while they were all dressed up.

Brisbane Wedding at Cherbon Waters, Burbank,

Judi and Bob are childhood sweethearts. They wanted a relaxed and enjoyable wedding ceremony, and a celebration with family and friends afterwards. Redlands celebrant, Cheryl Landsberry, wrote a sweet ceremony which told the couple’s story.

Bob and Judi chose Cherbon Waters at Burbank for their wedding, as the property caters for both ceremony and reception at the one location. Cherbon Waters is located on the banks of the Leslie Harrison Dam.

Judi was escorted down the aisle by her proud dad, Alberto. Judi wore the dress which was worn by her late mother to her own wedding day. How special is that? Alberto also sung a cappella during the signing of the certificates.

Bob and Judi also incorporated a handfasting into their ceremony, using this black cord. The cord will be kept as a keepsake of their wedding ceremony.

They didn’t need it on this beautiful spring day, but the arbour at Cherbon Waters provides shelter in the event of rainy weather. Bob and Judi left the ceremony area, arm in arm, delighted to be finally married.

Guests enjoyed canapes and drinks on the lawn as the bridal party had some formal photos taken. Redlands photographer, Romana Saeheng, made quick work of the essential photos, as the bridal party were eager to join their guests and celebrate with them.

If  you are looking for a Brisbane wedding venue, take a look at Cherbon Waters at Burbank.
