Vintage Wedding at The Courthouse Restaurant Cleveland

  • Posted By cheryl
  • on March 3,2023

The historic Courthouse Restaurant overlooking the bay at Cleveland provided the perfect backdrop for this vintage styled wedding. The bride wore a retro slinky white silky dress, with white gloves. Her hair was styled in victory rolls and her lipstick was a scarlet red. The groom and groomsen wore suits and waistcoats.

Live music set a classy tone for the post ceremony champagne on the lawn and then the band played after dinner as the dance floor opened.

The couple arrived in a vintage London cab.

Wedding at Redland Bay Golf Club

High school sweethearts Shania and Hayden were looking for a relaxed and stress free local wedding venue and chose Redland Bay Golf Club as their ideal location.

With a handy location, plenty of parking and the ability to have the ceremony and reception at the same location, Redland Bay Golf Club ticked all their boxes. The beautifully maintained lawns and gardens provided the perfect backdrop for their wedding. The couple chose the Gazebo location at Redland Bay Golf Club, one of three ceremony areas to choose from.

With rain showers predicted, guests arrived prepared with clear umbrellas. These also provided some cute photo opportunitues. Chelsea, the bubbly events coordinator at Redland Bay Golf Club, organised golf carts for the bridal part to access scenic photo locations around the golf course and adjoining Redland Bay.

Shania was stunning in a long ivory lace gown, and Hayden was dapper in dark trousers with an oatmeal coloured jacket. The bridesmaids wore a rustic burnt orange shift dress, and the groomsmen picked up the burnt orange colour in their vibrant ties.

Wet weather wedding option

Concerned about the possibility of bad weather on your wedding day?

Look out for a venue which has a wet weather option.

The heritage rotunda at New Farm Park is both beautiful and functional, and has provided a protected location for many of Brisbane’s celebrations.

Morning wedding at Palm Tree Lawn

With two youngsters and a third on the way, Anastasia and Steven decided on a short and sweet ceremony at Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Mount Coot-tha. Following their ceremony at the Palm Tree Lawn, they held a picnic where the parents could relax and catch up with family and friends, and the kids could race around with their cousins.

Steven and Anastasia asked the team at Elope Brisbane to coordinate their day as they have such a busy life to navigate. Steve from Kandid Kombi transported the bride and her bridesmaid from her hair and makeup appointment straight to the gardens. Stylist Mel from Miss Weddings installed a white arbour with burgundy flowers and white Americana chairs in the ceremony space at the Palm Tree Lawn. Celebrant Cheryl Landsberry created a simple, relaxed, and funny ceremony so the youngsters wouldn’t have to sit still for too long. Photographer Romana Saeheng took the opportunity to capture some gorgeous family photos while everyone was dressed up and in the same place at the same time. The cake was crafted by Cakes by Simone.

Anastasia sent a cheeky email to Cheryl, “Thankyou so much for a wonderful day yesterday. It went smoothly and quickly, just as we had hoped! (haha).”

Wedding at Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Mount Coot-tha

Crystal and Alvin first met as students.

When they first met, Alvin noticed that Crystal was reserved and intellectual. He thought she would make a valuable study partner.

Crystal noticed Alvin’s cheeky sense of humour. She knew he would be lots of fun to be around.

As they spent time together working on assessments, they admired so many qualities in each other, and after graduation, looked for work opportunities in the same city so they could spend more time together.

Alvin and Crystal decided on a low-key intimate wedding ceremony at the Botanic Gardens at Mount Coot-tha, with just their closest family and friends. Alvin promised to wait to binge watch their favourite series together, and Crystal promised to take them on food adventures together.

Wedding at New Farm Park Rotunda

It was raining on Caila and Jadam’s wedding day, but luckily, they had booked the heritage rotunda at New Farm Park for their ceremony.
The rotunda was large enough to fit all their guests, and everyone was glad to be out of the rain as they listened to the couple exchange their vows.
After the ceremony, photographer Romana Saeheng provided the couple and their attendants with clear umbrellas for a photo shoot around the flower gardens at New Farm Park and the nearby industrial backdrop of Brisbane Powerhouse.

Micro Wedding at City Botanic Gardens, Brisbane

Rhett and Chitra wanted a simple and fuss-free wedding with just immediate family and booked the Wedding Lawn at City Botanic Gardens for their ceremony. They asked the team at Elope Brisbane to take care of all the details.

Mel and Deb from Miss Weddings set up bamboo chairs and draped the bamboo arbour with a white cloth.

Chitra walked down into the ceremony on the arm of Rhett’s step-father, Greg, to Christina Perri’s song, A Thousand Years. Rhett’s mum, Joy, had a tear in her eye when she saw the look on Rhett’s face as he watched his bride arrive.

Celebrant Cheryl Landsberry created a sweet ceremony for the couple, and they signed the certificates with Rhett’s sisters as witnesses.

Photographer Romana Saeheng captured all the magical moments of the ceremony, then took the couple around the Botanic Gardens for a photo shoot amongst the floral landscapes. This photo was amongst the snapdragons in the formal flower garden.

The family then headed off in search of some cool drinks and a long and relaxing lunch.
