The Lighthouse – Cleveland

The Lighthouse at Cleveland is an iconic, heritage lighthouse which is over 150 years old. Surrounding the lighthouse, are parklands knows as the Cleveland Point Recreation Reserve. This area is surrounded by Moreton Bay, with views out to North Stradbroke Island. The park may be booked through Redland City Council for wedding ceremonies.
Next to the park area is the popular seafood restaurant, The Lighthouse Restaurant, which hosts wedding receptions. The deck of the restaurant is situated right on the edge of the bay, with beautiful views and breezes. The functions manager, Melissa, will assist with your wedding arrangements.

The Grand View Hotel – Cleveland

The Grand View Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Queensland. It is a beautiful historic building surrounded by gardens which look out over Moreton Bay. There are several areas of the hotel which are suitable for wedding ceremonies, including the lawn and the gazebo. In wet weather, ceremonies can be held on the upstairs verandah.
The hotel has a full kitchen which can cater for function guests as well as diners in the bistro. Wedding receptions can be held in the marquee, on the verandah, or in the Heritage Cleveland Room.

The Courthouse Restaurant – Cleveland

The old Courthouse building at Cleveland is a heritage building which has been converted to a fine dining restaurant with a covered courtyard. The restaurant is highly regarded for its service and meal quality. Wedding ceremonies can be held on the lawn which sits at the edge of the bay.

Moreton Bay Trailer Boat Club

The Moreton Bay Trailer Boat Club is located right on Moreton Bay at Manly. The ceremony area is a lawn looking out to the marina and sailboats on the bay. Included in the ceremony package are 26 Americana chairs, an aisle carpet, and a signing table. The private function room downstairs, The Stradbroke Room, caters for up to 130 guests in a dinner setting, or 200 guests with a cocktail setting.  You can either arrive or depart by boat, as the club has their own jetty. Contact the Functions Manager, Helen, to ask for details.

Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron

The RQYS sits by Moreton Bay and boasts a beautiful vista out over the marina. The ceremony lawn looks over the sailing boats on the bay, and can seat up to 150 guests. A jetty allows access by boat if you are thinking of arriving by boat. The RQYS has two function rooms.  The Flags room can cater for up to 100 guests in a dinner setting, or 120 guests for a cocktail setting. The balconies look over the harbour. The new Girdis room has easy access to the lawn area and can set up to 230 guests, or 300 guests with a cocktail setting.

Wynnum Golf Club – Avenue Sixty Four

Staffed by professional greenkeepers, the Wynnum Golf Club has immaculate grounds all year around. My favourite time of the year here is October and November when the Jacaranda trees are blooming . Ceremonies can be held on the first tee or the tenth tee after the golfers have made their way to the clubhouse. The reception room, Avenue Sixty Four,  is upstairs in the heritage clubhouse, with views out over the greens. In wet weather, ceremonies can be held on the verandah of the clubhouse.

Drevesen Park

Drevesen Park is a Brisbane City Council parkland. The gazebo is available to hire for weddings by contacting the Council. The manicured gardens make an attractive backdrop for the gazebo area, and wedding photos will feature beautiful Moreton Bay as a backdrop.

Redland Bay Golf Club

Redland Bay Golf Club is a beautifully maintained golf course on the shore of Redland Bay. There are two areas to choose from for a wedding ceremony – the arbour and the gazebo. They both overlook the fountain and lake. The two reception areas are the air-conditioned function room, which seats up to 120 guests, and the new marquee on the deck. The gum trees, green lawns, and bay offer plenty of photographic opportunities around the course. Functions managers Chelsea and Stacey are on hand to give assistance and advice.

Macarthur Park Wedding Gardens

Macarthur Park Wedding Gardens is situated on 4 acres of bushland at Alexandra Hills. Couples can choose the cute chapel or the lakeside deck for their ceremony. Owners Karen and Rick purchased a hundred year old country church and relocated the building to their property. It has been restored and fitted with air conditioning and a sound system. Photographs around the property can be taken under the gum trees, by the lily covered lagoon, or by the pool shack.

Cherbon Waters – Burbank

Cherbon Waters is an equestrian centre on the banks of the Leslie Harrison dam. Ceremonies can be held in the gazebo, with receptions in the marquee. The beautiful gardens on the property are ideal for photos.

Rainforest Gardens – Mount Cotton

The Rainforest Gardens sit high on Mount Cotton, with views out over the Redlands coastline. The ceremony area features timber seating looking onto the deck on the lagoon. Lush rainforest palms surround the ceremony area. Receptions can be held in the covered pavilion, which seats 100 guests. The pavilion has a caterer for the wedding eats, and you can supply the drinks yourself. Couples love to be photographed with the resident alpacas.

Sirromet Winery – Mount Cotton

Sirromet Winery is one of the Redlands most well known venues, famed for the delicious meals, impeccable service, and of course the local wines.  For ceremonies, there are three options: The arbour is a covered gazebo amongst the vineyards. The Laguna is a covered pavilion set on the lily covered lagoon. Amoroso is a terrace with fig trees overlooking the open grassland. Couples can choose from three reception areas too: The Barrel Hall, The Tuscan Terrace, and Lurleen’s Restaurant. Guests will be able to spot plenty of wallabies on their way in to the property.
